March, 2008- Postdoctoral Associate, Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, Yale University; Mentor: Dr. Sidney Altman (Nobel laureate in Chemistry, 1989).

Research Interests

My lab is interested in the function and regulation of noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs). ncRNAs play essential and many known and unknown roles in animal development, cellular processes, diseases, and epigenetics. We utilize models such as C. elegans, mammalian cell cultures, and mice to explore roles of ncRNAs. We pay particular attention to the possible regulation of gene expression by environmental ncRNAs, roles of natural antisense RNAs, and functions of ncRNAs in stem cells and neuronal differentiation.
